As a mother, grandmother, postpartum doula, advanced newborn care specialist, Happiest Baby Educator, and baby sleep expert, I see the needs of families, especially when there is a new baby in the home. When my daughter let me know that many of her friends were wondering if I could care for their baby or babies, I was surprised. She went on to explain that most do not have family members that live close by or have anyone that they would trust to care for their most precious possession. And that is how North Star Newborns was born. We help protect newborns and infants by providing educated, experienced, fully vetted newborn care specialists, postpartum doulas, and registered nurses.

I am an experienced newborn care specialist and mother of 10 children and ten grandchildren. I bring ample experience, trust, and gentleness to caring for your baby. I have always been drawn to the miraculous gift of new life. Caring for little ones is second nature, having come from a large family and raising my own alongside my husband. I am fascinated by how a child thrives through love, trust, touch, observation, and verbal and playful interaction. I enjoy supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical development, and I love assisting them in meeting developmental milestones and discovering the world around them. I believe in supporting parents in life’s most crucial work-the upbringing and care of their children.

I am a labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum nurse at United Hospital. I love supporting women and families during this extraordinary time in their lives. My passion for labor and delivery nursing is driven by the belief that women are strong, powerful, and autonomous! It is an honor for me to be able to witness this strength daily.
Before working as a registered nurse, I went to school for music therapy and received my bachelor’s degree in anthropology. I have worked as a nanny, camp counselor, camp nurse at Concordia Language Villages, an emergency medical technician, and a dental healthcare specialist for Healthcorps in Ukiah, California. I enjoy sharing music, language, outdoor activities, and games with children and newborns!
My first nursing job was in a level I and II neonatal nursery in Bemidji, Minnesota. I’m excited to care for newborns again because it is a time of incredible growth, learning, and excitement! Plus, I think they are so darn cute.

My passion is and always has been working with children. After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I worked for 8+ years as a career nanny assisting families with newborns/infants, toddlers, multiples, and school-aged children. My most recent experience has been working as a newborn sleep consultant. I have over 3000 hours of firsthand
overnight care working with newborns, including multiples, and encouraging great sleep habits from day one. Along with establishing good routines and sleep plans, I help parents adjust to their new roles by answering questions about basic baby care or providing support to new
moms when needed. Welcoming a baby into the home is a delicate transition for everyone, and I love more than anything to help support families. I have two children of my own who are now in elementary school, and I’m looking forward to filling the next chapter of my life working with newborns again!

I have had a lifelong passion for working with infants, children, and their families. While obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology and family studies, I found my love for nannying when I began caring for a 4-week-old infant. This introduction to nannying catapulted my career and desire to work with children and families. I have 15 years of nanny experience, two years of special education teaching experience, and over 5,000 hours working with infants under one year. I have worked with premature and full-term newborns, including multiple sets of twins. I adore helping families find rest and a sense of peace throughout the newborn phase. I am passionate about assisting families to establish routines, including good and safe sleeping practices.

Since childhood, I have always been drawn to babies and kids. I remember longing for the day when I would have my children. My caregiving career began as a babysitter at a young age, and I served in the nursery at my church growing up. This led me to lead the nursery for seven years, spending countless hours with babies and infants. At heart, I am a natural caretaker, and my favorite memories have been caring for others. It brings me great joy and fills my cup! I am a CNA and HHA and was a Home-health aide and Hospice aide for eight years for a company where I provided one on one care for clients in their homes, a skill I am excited to bring to the table in meeting new families and caring uniquely and compassionately for their baby. I adore my husband. We have 4 kids~3 girls ages 13, 6, and 2, and a 6-month-old boy, having first-hand experience in feeding and good sleep habits with my babies, and I am so excited to be able to use my skills to help families with their little ones so they can get a good nights sleep and feel at peace with me there. I am passionate about being there for your family during the fourth trimester, helping you implement safe sleep practices and routines for your baby. I can’t wait to serve you and your baby uniquely.

Caring for little ones has been a passion for most of my life. As a full-time mom and nanny, I have over 25 years of experience caring for children in various settings, including childcare centers, preschool classrooms, and homes. I have experience working with children with a range of special needs alongside typically developing children. Hi! I am an experienced Newborn Care Specialist trained by Newborn Care Solutions and a Postpartum Doula trained by DONA International. I’ve earned a degree in Early Childhood Education and continuing certifications in CPR, First Aid, and SIDS Prevention. I have many years of experience working with multiples, preemies, and newborns/infants. I aim to help families love and enjoy this most exciting, exhausting postnatal time!
I’ve been blessed with a lifetime of caring for children and families, and I hope my experience can serve you. I began my childcare career by running my licensed home daycare for 13 years while raising four children. This was such a blessing, and once my children were in school, I knew I wanted to continue caring for infants and families!
Hence, I began an 8-year journey as a Lead Infant teacher for the General Mills Infant Care Center and Primrose. The joy I found in the infant rooms and the training and experience gained working in center-based care were priceless!
Taking my love-based care to a more personal level, I joined a beautiful
family for eight years as their Nanny and Household Manager. Sharing my
knowledge & skills to assist in raising their child from newborn to school age was an enriching experience. I am fortunate to be a part of their family dynamics still!
Returning to my passion for infant care as a Newborn Care Specialist and
Postpartum Doula has been an absolute joy for me. I specialize in establishing healthy eating and sleep patterns for babies and providing parents with the rest and confidence to enjoy this miraculous time. I look forward to being of service to you!

Hi! While pursuing my bachelor’s degree, I worked in childcare to get by. It quickly became a passion of mine! I have worked in childcare centers as well as for a nanny agency and as a private nanny, and I have worked primarily with infants over the last six years. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree, I decided I wasn’t too keen on my field of study anymore. Soon after giving birth to my first child and having a fantastic doula, I trained with DONA to become a birth doula myself! While I enjoy that work, becoming a postpartum doula felt more of a calling. I attended a yearlong mentorship and certification program through Manhattan Birth and learned many valuable lessons. In-depth training on trauma and breastfeeding has proved to be the most useful to my clients thus far! I now have two littles who are my whole world; my youngest is almost three months. I am well-versed in many postpartum experiences and look forward to assisting you in navigating yours!

Hi! I have been working as a postpartum doula since 2015. I was a birth doula for a couple of years before making the transition. When I was pregnant with my 3rd baby, I realized being on call was a little difficult, but I knew I still wanted to help families with their babies. So I made the switch to be on the other side of the birth journey and I’m so glad that I did.
I absolutely love helping families and their babies during such a precious and sometimes challenging time. It truly fills my cup. Witnessing mamas (and dads) go from completely stressed and sleep-deprived to fully rested and relaxed is so wonderful. It’s amazing what a full night’s rest can do for someone. Sometimes just being there to support them when they need it the most, I can see the peacefulness in them from me just being there as a support system.
When I’m not doula-ing, I am raising and homeschooling my 4 kids while also running a tiny crafting business of my own. I go to a few shows and markets during the year and sell stuff that some of my children and I make and I love it. I have a full and busy life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world!

Hi! I graduated from Bethel University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I was able to complete this degree alongside competing in a collegiate sport. In the fall, I will continue my education by pursuing a Masters’s in Strategic Leadership. Before working for North Star, I volunteered in my home church nursery in Kentucky. I also worked as a nanny and babysitter for infants and toddlers-including my newborn nephew. Recently, I completed 150 hours in the Level II and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children’s St. Paul. I cared for preemies, twins, and newborns with various intensive care diagnoses and needs. Soon, I will also work as a nurse in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
I am passionate about providing quality and individualized care to infants and mothers. As a Newborn Care Specialist and nurse, I want to provide holistic care to every infant I care for. I am very excited to continue caring for infants in this exciting time for families!

I was called to care for babies! I have always loved babies and consider myself exceptional at caring for them! I’ve supported parents and cared for babies as a North Star Newborns provider from the beginning, and I’ve also assisted behind the scenes to help make NSN the most trusted newborn and infant care provider in the Twin Cities. One of my goals is to share my knowledge and skills with parents to make them feel more confident and prepared as the baby grows. I am intuitive and calm-spirited when it comes to giving your baby the best care possible while also fostering the development of age-appropriate skills. I have experience with bottle training infants that refuse the bottle, and I’m experienced with multiples.
Before starting with North Star Newborns, I worked with children and adults with disabilities for many years. This helped build many of my skills and significantly strengthened my patience. I was a PCA for a young boy that required complete care, including taking him to school, where I provided meds, set up his feeding pump, and ensured he completed his daily therapies. As a dedicated care provider, I have been passionate about caring for others, especially newborns and infants.

- Infant and Adult CPR/AED certified
- Experience with cloth diapers
- Experience with food intolerances and Neocate formula

I have served families in and around the Twin Cities since 2018. My directive is to provide inclusive, evidence-based support for newly postpartum mothers and their families, tailoring my care to your needs.
The advantages of having me as your doula include expertise with postpartum anxiety and postpartum depression, proficiency with chestfeeding\breastfeeding care, and skills in understanding and supporting mothers who have experienced challenges during pregnancy and birth. I am skilled in working with twins, triplets, and multi-age siblings, as well as extended and blended families.
My care is mother-centric, enveloping mothers and their newborns, partners, siblings, and fur-babies in a cocoon of protection during their postpartum year. I believe this holds space for parents to quiet outside noise, find their own unique footing as a family, discovering their voice as mothers and fathers while getting to know their newborn.
A little about me; along with my passion for supporting new mamas during their postpartum year, I also love travel, photography, history, and wildlife. I am the mother of two exceptional young adults who are the apple of my eye. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner, appreciate good food, new experiences, kindness, and generosity.
It is an honor to serve and I look forward to meeting you.

I’m the mother of three wonderful kids. I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for 17 years. I’ve worked with at-risk teenagers and special needs adults as a foster parent and nanny for over ten years. I’m now a Postpartum Doula certified with Dona International. All of these experiences have helped shape me into who I am today, and I’m very grateful to be able to support parents in this tender time of bringing home a baby. As a postpartum Doula, I encourage parents to rest, as rest is a critical pathway toward health and wellness. I love to help families transition smoothly when a baby arrives. I’m so happy to be a part of the North Star Newborns community.

In addition to my work with North Star Newborns, I work as an inpatient rehab Occupational Therapy Assistant, treating patients with brain and spinal cord injuries. I am an on-call doula at HCMC. As a former nanny, I’m also the Nursery Coordinator at my church.

I am married and have a toddler, who I have breastfed since birth. Breastfeeding my child has been, and continues to be, the greatest joy of my life. I love sharing this special bond with my child and other parents.
My ultimate dream is to work in Lactation Occupational Therapy in both the inpatient/NICU and outpatient settings — as a Doctor of Occupational Therapy and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. H! My husband (whom I met in Russia when I traveled on mission trips) and I are raising four children together. I have a passion for health and well-being; I graduated from NW Academy of Homeopathy and enjoyed working 11 years in surgery as a surgical technologist before having children. As I homeschool my kids, they seem to teach me more about life as they grow up quickly.
I’m looking forward to spending time with the babies again. The most enjoyable part of being a Mom is being in tune with the baby’s needs, loving and nurturing them. You’ll find me with my knitting in hand in my spare time or anytime in between.
I’m looking forward to working with North Star Newborn families to bring them a sense of peace and calm during this dynamic time of life.

Growing up in a Nigerian family that values collectivism, I was exposed early on to the importance of caring for our community. I would often tag along with my mother to assist families in their transition from hospital to home. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Saint Thomas, where I spent much time studying the Science of Sleep. I strongly believe in coaching families to achieve their best functioning, which begins when we value sleep as an essential part of our development. I am working towards becoming a pediatric physician, and I’m embracing all the things that come with this journey as it has and will continue to shape me to serve in my fullest capacity. I am beyond excited to continue to help more families as they journey through parenthood!

Hi! I’ve been an OB RN working in rural and high-acuity hospitals for several years. I went into healthcare to become a labor and delivery nurse, and I love having the honor of being present for births and caring for patients during that time.
After having two of my children (3yo & 1yo), I realized how much support new families and newborns need as they walk through the tremendous transition of bringing a child home. Working as a nurse and my own experiences have led me to realize my new passion: caring for newborns and their needs and supporting their families.
I have experience in obstetrics, hospital nursery care, newborn care, healthy sleeping habits, lactation, postpartum support, nanny care, and much more!
I love connecting and hearing people’s stories that brought them to where they are now, becoming parents. I know best practice recommendations for newborn care and sleep, but I also get the realness aspect of being a mom myself to the table and will help you figure out what works best for your family. I aim to help new parents gain confidence in their ability to care for their newborn while working together to conquer whatever individualized goals they may have for this exciting time of growth. I can’t wait to get to know you and your baby!
