Meredith
Birth and Postpartum Doula and IBCLC
Meredith is thrilled to be a part of the fabulous team at NSN. Parent to a spirited little girl and three rescue dogs, she juggles multiple roles at home and at work.
Meredith is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE), Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), certified doula (CPE & CPD), and trained as a newborn care specialist (NCS). She has an active BLS certification and was also recently certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C).
There is nothing Meredith loves more than working with families prenatally to get ready for breastfeeding, as well as answering questions and helping families with latch and positioning issues once their baby has arrived. Married with a toddler whom she has breastfed since birth, nursing her child has been, and continues to be, her greatest joy.
Meredith approaches her work from both a science-backed and holistic perspective, specializing in perinatal health & wellness promotion and injury prevention. She delights in sharing her passion for education and maternal-child health. Meredith strives to normalize the postpartum experience and help parents, especially mothers, feel less alone. Her goal is always to meet families right where they are, quelling those first-time parent nerves and empowering families to move boldly into parenthood feeling calm, confident, and capable.
Meredith is currently in graduate school at the University of Minnesota to build upon her foundation as a student of family studies and her background as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). She aims to work as a Licensed Parent Educator in her local public school district’s Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program.
