Mariah

“Hello families!  My name is Mariah, and caring for babies and supporting families has been a passion throughout my career.

There is something incredibly special about being invited into a family’s home during the first weeks of a baby’s life.  After more than 20 years as a professional nanny and newborn care specialist, I still feel honored to be a part of such an important and intimate chapter in a family’s journey.

As a mother myself, I understand that welcoming a new baby is a tremendous transition for the entire family.  There is so much joy and excitement, but there can also be exhaustion, uncertainty and a million questions along the way.  My goal is to be a calm, attentive ad reassuring presence, giving parents the support and confidence they need while caring for their little one with the same patience, warmth, and dedication I would want for my own family.

Over the years, I have developed extensive hands-on experience caring for newborns, including premature babies, NICU graduates and many sets of twins. I am comfortable caring for babies with different temperament, needs and routines, and I pride myself on being attentive to each baby’s individual cues. I especially enjoy helping parents discover what works best for their little one rather than taking a one-size-fits- all approach.

My newborn-care experience includes swaddling, soothing, and settling techniques, breastfeeding and bottle-feeding support, establishing healthy sleep habits and routines, and providing attentive overnight care. I love those quiet moments when you begin to understand a baby’s cues- the difference between a hungry cry, an overtired baby, or simply needing a little extra comfort.  My years of experience have taught me to remain patient, observant, and flexible while helping babies feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

Supporting the parents is just as important to me as caring for their baby.  I understand how meaningful it can be to have someone you trust beside you during those early days- someone who can offer an extra set of hands, a calm perspective and reassurance when things feel overwhelming. Whether that means helping establish a rhythm with your newborn, supporting nighttime care, preparing bottles, or simply giving you the opportunity to rest, my goal is to make this transition feel lighter.

I am CPR certified and a Certified Nursing Assistant, and I am currently pursuing my certification as a doula to continue expanding my knowledge and ability to support families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

It is truly an honor to be welcomed into a family’s home during such an important chapter. I would love the opportunity to care for your little one, support you as parents, and help make those first few weeks together feel a little more peaceful, confident, and supported.”
